Richard Wayne Smith (Hillbilly to his friends), 61, of Anderson, passed away April 25, 2016, at Community North Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born February 28, 1955, in Livingston, TN, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Richard graduated from Livingston Academy in Livingston, TN. He was self-employed as a carpet layer for several years. Richard is survived by his parents; Lonnie and Lucy Smith of Anderson; siblings, Brenda (David) Ellis of Springville, IN, Danny Smith of Cookville, TN, Mike Smith of Bardstown, KY, Johnny (Lora) Smith of Noblesville, Terri (David) Russell of Indianapolis, Tim Smith of Fishers, Thurman (Kathy) Walker of Indianapolis, and Billy (Pam) Walker of Livingston, TN.
Richard is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Gail Jones of Livingston, TN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Jean Smith. There will be no local services.
