Richard Wenning passed away on August 11, 2022 from complications of dementia. He was 88.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, in 2013.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Katrina & Sonja of Colorado Springs.
Richard loved life. He loved college sports and was a graduate of Ohio state. He was born and raised in Hamilton OH. And moved to Colorado Springs in 1967. His career was in civilian personnel for the Air Force. Human resources was his field before retirement.
As a younger man, husband and father, he enjoyed tennis, camping with the family, racquetball with his nephew Vic, and having a beer at the Garden’s.
When Cripple Creek opened for gambling, he and his wife became fans of the slots. Aspen Fall viewing, state fair food and all things Christmas were his joy.
He was a loving husband and father and will be remembered for being a gentle, sensitive soul.
