Richard Walter Wahlfeldt, 86 of Centralia, Illinois passed away, Monday, June 20, 2016 at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. Richard was born March 13, 1930 in Danville, Illinois son of Walter Wahlfeldt and Clara (Berg) Wahlfeldt. He married Theresa C. Foehrer on June 6, 1953 in Danville, Illinois and she preceded him in death on May 18, 2005.
He is survived by a son, Richard J. Wahlfeldt and wife Eva of Centralia, Illinois; two daughters: Marie Roberts and husband Hunter of La Pine, Oregon and Margaret Brooks and husband Ron of Stratford, Texas; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers: John Wahlfeldt and wife Eva of Springhill, Florida and Wally Wahlfeldt and wife Kathy of Oak Lawn, Illinois; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Timothy J. Wahlfeldt in 1974 and a brother, Harold Wahlfeldt and wife Joan. Richard worked as an Engineer for many years. He was of the Lutheran Faith. He enjoyed playing and watching golf. Richard’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.
