NORFOLK – Richard W. LaCasse, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of the late Betty Jane LaCasse who passed away in February. Born May 21, 1942 in East Hartland; the son of the late Marshall and Marguerite (Finley) LaCasse.
Dickie was an amazingly talented carpenter and skilled woodworker. He loved spending time with his wife and family at “the Camp” in Hebron, New York. He also enjoying building his 1948 Jeep Wily and taking long rides.
He is survived by his children, Tina Prigge and husband Jonathan of Norfolk, Bonnie Spadaccini and husband Mike of Norfolk, Todd LaCasse of AZ and Eric LaCasse of CA; grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, Carol Stadler and husband Bob, Ronald LaCasse and wife Penny, Nancy Coon, David LaCasse, Jack Lacasse and wife Tara, Marina Kittridge, Peggy Coon and husband Leon; sister-in-law, Elaine LaCasse; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He also leaves close friends and New York neighbors, Scott and Nancy and best friend, Don Joy.
In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by his son, Richard W. LaCasse, Jr., brothers, Thomas LaCasse, Peter LaCasse and his wife Lorraine, Marshall LaCasse, Jr., and James LaCasse and sister, Linda LaCasse.
