Richard Steinborn, age 47, went to be with his Lord and Saviour. He was a devout Believer and is where he worked so hard to be, in Heaven with his Lord and loved ones gone before him.
Richard was born in Columbus, Georgia, October 30, 1973. He graduated from Harris County High School in 1993, and joined the UNITED STATES NAVY the same year. He retired from the NAVY as an instructor at the Great Lakes Training Center with the rank of Chief.
In his earlier days he was an avid baseball player in Little League and high school.
Richard was an accomplished singer and songwriter, and was self taught on the guitar.
Richard was a devoted father to his two sons, Nathan and Austin Steinborn. He loved his family and friends and was a role model for his numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard is preceded in death by his father Richard O. Steinborn, and sister, Donna Carol (Candi) Steinborn Jones.
Richard is survived by sons, Nathan and Austin Steinborn, Mother Jan O. Studdard (stepfather, Jack), sisters Cooki Gilbert (Rusty), Taffy Keller, Ginger Battle, brother Bradley Steinborn (Stacy), sister Brooke Baker, and numerous other family members and lifelong friends.
“ Our father was the greatest man I have ever known, a man of courage integrity and righteousness, a Chief Petty officer in the navy was his rank, but was not what he wanted to remembered as. But rather as a child brother and soldier of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.” ~ Nathaniel and Austin Steinborn.
