Richard Snow, 56, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Thursday, March 11, 2011 while scuba diving in Florida. Rich was born August 19, 1954 to Donald and Mary Snow in Michigan City, Indiana, and was a lifetime resident of Lakeside and Three Oaks, Michigan. He graduated from River Valley High School in 1973 and served his country in the US Navy.
Rich continued his education at Lake Michigan College, earning his Associate Degree in Math and Science. On March 5, 1981, Rich married Marilyn Avery at the Three Oaks Untied Methodist Church. They were celebrating their 30th anniversary in Florida. Rich had been employed as a journeyman tool grinder at Bosch Manufacturing, and was currently employed by Nick Strimbu Trucking. Rich enjoyed scuba diving, traveling all over the place, photography, and visiting with the people he met along the way.
He was a member of the Randall Couchman American Legion Post 204 of Three Oaks and was active in Boy Scout Troop 603, Stevensville, Michigan. Rich loved his family and being around kids. He also loved animals, especially the family cats Pickles and Greta and dogs Jasmine and Rocky. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; children, Andrew Snow of Three Oaks, Michigan; Tara Snow of Bridgman, Michigan and Casey Snow of Three Oaks; his mother, Mary Snow of New Carlisle, Indiana; sisters, Chris (Henry) Krueger of Three Oaks and Kim (Russell) Logsdon of Oxford, Ohio; brother Don (Dusty) Snow of Savannah, Georgia and a grandchild who will be born later this year.
