     On January 10, 2020, Richard Scott Taylor, “Rick”, 68, passed away suddenly at Baltimore Washington Medical Center due to complications following a heart attack. Rick was born in San Mateo, California, on October 20, 1951, to Marjorie and Howard Thomas Taylor. The family moved from California to New York before finally settling in Annapolis, Maryland. Rick started his career as a crew member of the Johns Hopkins Research Ship, the Warfield and later worked on the Schooner Yacht America. During this time, he fell in love with sailing and achieved his captains license. He then attended the University of Maryland, and became a lifelong entrepreneur. The last several years he was the Managing Partner of TS Medical Solutions, a Pharmacogenomic DNA Testing company. Rick was a devout Christian and attended the Grace of God Christian Fellowship in Millersville. He always jumped at the opportunity to help people, loved to scuba dive, snow ski, and was an avid car enthusiast.

 

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Christine Taylor Hall. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Patricia A. Taylor; his adoring children Kimberly Taylor Schmerber and Steven Taylor; his cherished granddaughter, Ailish Colleen Hall, his very dear children-in-law, Kevin Hall, Daniel Schmerber, and Lindsay Taylor; his loving siblings Robert Taylor and Theresa Taylor, brother and sister-in-law John and Dale Leonard; and life long friends Bruce and Darla Sando.
