Richard Scott Houston entered into the rest on December 6, 2014. He was born on September 19, 1947 to Joseph Marshall & Deloris Yvonne Houston in Reno, Nevada. He ran track as a teenager, making it to the podium frequently, and was on the Junior Olympic team. He was a drummer in his brother’s band and won a “battle of the bands” competition. He was married as a young man to Leslie Houston and they were blessed with 5 children: Karyn, Robert, Richard “Scott”, Mary, and Jenni. Robert passed away when he was 6 months old. The loss of Robby broke Dad’s heart and caused him to seek after the Lord.
