Richard Sam George Sr., age 76, native of Birmingham, AL, resident of Eight Mile, AL, departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at a local hospital.
Mr. George is preceded in death by his beloved wife Joann George, parents; Parker and Alma Sammons, one brother; Gene George, and three sisters; Betty Northcutt, Rosie McGuire, and Margaret Ikner. He is survived by two sons; Richard (Michelle) George Jr., Michael (Christine) Simmons, six grandchildren; Christine, Christopher, Austin, Daniel, Abby, and Ansley, “favorite” niece; Anita, two brothers; Eddie Sammons, and David Sammons, and many other family and friends.
