Richard “Rick” S. Brown III, 71 passed away Thursday morning March 18, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on July 12, 1949 in Muncie the son of Richard S. and Pearl (Harty) Brown II.
Rick graduated from South Side High School in 1967 and later married the love of his life, Brinda (Stevens) Brown on February 14, 1970 in Muncie and she survives. Mr. Brown had worked for Borg-Warner as a machine operator for approximately 12 years before his retirement. He was also an ordained Minister. Mr.
Besides his wife of 51 years, Brinda, he is survived by one son, Daniel Brown (Tasha), Hartford City; three grandchildren, Brittany Thornburgh (Avery), Rebekah Brown and Daniel Brown II all of Hartford City; two brothers, Kenny Brown (Wendy) and Michael Brown, both of Muncie; one sister, Patty Ann Brown, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one son, Richard S. “Rick” Brown in 2012; his parents; one sister, Judy Raines.
