Richard (Dick) Rogan Bullock, 81, passed away Wednesday November 17, 2021, rejoining his beloved wife Leona P. Bullock. He was the son of the late Rogan Barney Bullock and Kathryn Jeanne Champ Bullock. A proud native of Colorado, Dick was born on February 20, 1940, in Denver where he attended Englewood High School. There he played football and baseball as well as perfect his love of fast cars. Upon graduation, he proudly served our Country in the United States Navy. He remained a Navy man for the remainder of his life.
Dick was a proud man with a soft heart and strong life values. He was a loving, kind, and truly wonderful father. His love for his children and positive involvement in their lives will continue even after his passing. The hugs and kisses mixed with quick witted jokes remain forever embedded in the hearts and minds of his family. He always shared close connections with cousins most of all Jerry Bullock. He valued his many good friends, especially the lifelong friendship he shared with Fred Lehrer.
His many talents and passions included “his Broncos”, car racing, woodworking, the occasional good cigar and a cold beer at the end of a hard day of work whether it be working on the ranch or painting at Swedish Hospital. But most of all he enjoyed teaching his daughters how to be strong independent women from working on cars and riding motorcycles to making sure that their nails were done, and skirts weren’t to short.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him but maybe most of all by his two pets, Pixie and Diva, who brought him purpose and joy.
