Ricky (Richard William) Smith Ricky Smith, 64, passed away on March 20, 2021, at the Smith family home in Newnan. He was born on June 16, 1956 to the late Mary Sue Smith and William Posey Smith. Along with his parents, Ricky is predeceased by his ‘old lady’ Cassie Smith and his precious granddaughter, Addy Smith. He is survived by his children, Candace Faggen and her husband Roger, Steven Smith, Justin Smith and his wife Joni, and Kristen Smith; grandchildren, Kaydin Hamer, Chloe Faggen, Darli Smith, and Bo Smith; siblings, Brenda Smith Pressley, Stanley Smith and his wife Angy, Dennis Smith and his wife Torra. In this family, going to work with daddy was a big deal, and so was breakfast and cartoons on the Saturday or Sunday he might be home. He had as many flaws as the next guy, but he was always excited to welcome every new baby into this world and our family, to play all night, to go to games and graduations, Christmas and Birthdays and family reunions. When we called home, Mom always said he just had to talk to us. After mom passed, we found out just how true it was, and he didn’t wait for us to call anymore.
