Richard “Rick” Merrill Best, 68, of Yorktown, passed away on March 3, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on June 23, 1951, in Muncie, IN, the son of Robert and Ruth (Grey) Best. Rick graduated from Shenandoah High School. He had worked as an auto mechanic/service advisor at Nick & B’s and Day’s Marathon in Middletown for many years.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (Konya) Best, whom he married October 14, 1989; son, Mike (Katie) Best; grandson, Caleb Best; sister, Patricia (Alex) McDonnell; brother, Mark (Susan) Best; nephews, Todd (Traci) McDonnell, and Scott McDonnell; best friend, Tom Bell; beloved dog, Molly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth (Grey) Best; father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Rose Fina.
