Richard “Rick” Allen Kayholm Jr., age 61, of Edgewater, died Friday, March 4, 2022 at AdventHealth Hospice, Daytona Beach. Born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Richard and Barbara Hancock Kayholm; Rick moved to this area in 2013 from Munith, Michigan.
A local fishing guide; Rick enjoyed welding and fabricating, hunting, fishing, going to the beach and riding his golf cart. He opened a hand crafted fishing lure company, Grand Slam Baits, with his son, Bradley. Rick carried a fishing pole with him everywhere he went and he fished all over the country, learning to be a master baiter.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Peggy; 3 sons and their wives, Jeff and Dannelle Carson, Alan and Marrie Delahaye, and Bradley and Alexis Kayholm; his father, Rick Kayholm Sr; a sister, Terri Drussell; 10 grandchildren, Deana, Ali, Ana, Dakota, Logan, Maddie, Jameson, Brindle, Mason and Oliver; and a close cousin, Timmy Barnes. Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Kayholm.
