Richard “Richie” Allen Burgess, 75
Okeechobee – Richard Allen Burgess passed away on August 28, 2021, at Hospice of Okeechobee. He was born January 21, 1946, in Port St. Lucie, Florida to Robert Alexander Burgess and Nina Baromi. He served in the United States Army and was in the Korean War. He retired from Okeechobee County Road Department after 31 years. Richard enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening, his fruit trees, tinkering, and making things around the house. His favorite thing to do was visit his friends whom he considered his family. He was a great neighbor to all that encountered. He loved to take walks with his lifelong buddies, James and Morgan. He always looked forward to breakfast and visiting Harold, Teresa, D’ Anna, Christopher, Andrew, and all of the Okeechobee County Airport Community.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Burgess.
He is survived by his great friends, neighbors, and Okeechobee County Airport Community.
