Richard Davis, a retired City of Miami Firefighter and longtime resident of Florida (Miami and West Palm Beach) died unexpectedly on 2-5-20. Richard is survived by his wife Tambre, sons Erich and Ryan and brother Bill. He is predeceased by his mother Delores and father Jack. Richard was born in the Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin 8-30-53. Richard graduated from Southwest Miami High School in 1971 and thereafter attend Miami Dade Community College. He joined the City of Miami fire department in 1974. Over the next 30 years Richard worked for the fire department as an EMT and a member of its Hazardous Materials and Dive unit. Richard retired in 2005.
Richard married his wife Tambre in 1988 and had two sons , Erich and Ryan. Shortly before retiring, Richard moved from Miami with his family to Wellington , West Palm Beach, Florida. Over the years Richard demonstrated several outstanding qualities. He was a devoted husband and companion to his wife Tambre and an attentive father to his sons. He had a passion for coaching sports and was also considered to be a great life coach. He was the consummate “ people person” leader and story teller. He also had a strong interest in cooking, both at home and the firehouse. The way he lived his life, both at work and home, demonstrated a strong commitment to serving others.
