Richard C. (R.C.) Poling, 81 of Grafton, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Sam Gerard. He was born in Cumberland, Md., August 13, 1928, the son of the late Warren A. and Frances Pearl Albright Poling. R.C. was in death by two sons; Donald Poling and Paul Kevin Poling, one granddaughter, Heather Poling, one sister; Frances Havenner, and two brothers; Leon Poling and Martin Poling. Mr. Poling was a WWII Veteran having served in the US Army. R.C. attended the Message of Freedom Church. Mr. Poling retired in 1986 as Engineer, after 38 years of employment with the B&O Railroad He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Lamm Poling, whom he married March 4, 1956; four sons, Lynn A. and Ruth Poling of Grafton, Steve W. Poling and Companion Beverly of Grafton, Mark and Kim Poling of Grafton and Phil Poling and Companion Karey of Grafton; two daughters, Debra McIntyre of NJ., and Teresa and Sam Gerard of Grafton; Seventeen Grandchildren, Sabrina Poling, Tammy Poling, Stephen Poling, Christopher Poling, Justin Poling, Jason Poling, Renee Poling, Jennifer Poling, Phillip Shane Poling, Amber Poling, Stephanie Poling, Samantha Gerard, Lorraine Gerard, Renee Gerard, Jennifer Jones, Bernadette McIntyre, Justin McIntyre, James McIntyre. and seven grandchildren; Renee Jones, Joshua Jones, Zackary Poling, Sarina Poling, Brooke Bolyard, Abby Bolyard, Nathanel Bolyard; and three brothers; Jack and Patty Poling of Morgantown, Warren Poling of Grafton, and Rex and Linda Poling of Ravenswood.
