Richard Joseph Poma passed away peacefully in Oakley on November 21, 2023. Richard was born on May 5, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan.He lived his life as a full-time farmer in St. Charles. He had a vast mechanical knowledge and an awesome insight on farm equipment, automobiles and previously had his pilot license. When farming season ended, he was off to Costa Rica for 6 months to enjoy that 70s weather. He was an avid reader, enjoyed politics, and always watched the farm markets. He was very interested in the latest technology and how it changed farming and other industries. Richard attended St. Charles High School.He is survived by his three sisters Lorraine (John) Hedrich, Joanne Nowak, Sherrie (Jerry) Lucio, two brothers Frank Poma and Duane Poma and special friends, Ramona Thomas and Rick Bennet as well as many nieces nephews: Jerry Cindy Hedrich, John Cora Hedrich, Earl Brenda Hess, Cindy Agullaird, Lisa Wolkerstorfer, Anthony Molly Lucio, Adam Carolin Lucio, Tiffany Polaski and DeLynn Poma.He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Minnie (Giori) Poma, Sisters Diana Poma and Janice Mendicki and nephews, Joe Butler and Kevin Hedrich.
