Richard Paul Hoban, 62, of Grafton, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born February 14, 1954 in Grafton, son of the late Richard Harold “Dick” and Viola Almara “Peggy” Hoban.
Richard loved spending time with his grandson each week, taking him to swim in the creek, also to ride his dirt bike, and having him help with his woodworking. In his earlier years, Rich enjoyed golfing. His first job was working at the Country Club Golf Course in Grafton. He was on a bowling league in the 80’s and 90’s. In his later years, he enjoyed watching golf and tennis on TV. He loved to do woodworking in his home and that was his favorite past time. He liked swimming with his dogs in the creek.
He is survived by one daughter, Rhiannon Hoban Fairmont; two sons, Tristan Hoban and Jordan Hoban, both of Grafton; one grandson, Shea Davis, Fairmont; one sister, Jonnett Bragg and husband Bob, Rivesville; ex-wife and friend, Judi Russell, Clarksburg; and a very special cousin, Mark Grogan; his two favorite dogs, Fergus and Mattie; many nieces, nephews, cousins.
