Richard Oscar Peterson, 91, died on December 12, 2019. He was born May 29, 1928 and grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. He then made his way to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to attend Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) where he received a PhD in psychology. While at Carnegie Tech, he met Anita Rose Harkin and they were married in 1950. Richard and Anita were dedicated to their children, Scott Kevin and Lyn Karen, who they raised in Pittsburgh and then in New Jersey. Richard worked as an industrial psychologist for AT&T for many years.
