Richard “Orbe” Charles Orvis, 68, a life long resident of Plainville, passed away on Tuesday December 6, 2011. Born on January 17, 1943 in New Britain, he was the son of the late James and Jane (Orvis) Davis.
Richard loved living in Plainville and would prefer to be here above all else. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing for numerous baseball and softball teams at Norton Park. Richard was proud of his work as a truck driver for Teamster and actively involved in the organization since 1966.
He leaves his sons Richard Charles Orvis, II and Robert Michael Orvis; his granddaughter Zoe; along with his ex-wife Helene (Salek) Martin.
