Richard Notar, 80, of Melbourne Florida, passed away at home surrounded by family. He was born in Lodi, NJ to the late James and Frances (Paladino) Notar.

Richard graduated from Lodi High School in 1960. He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany where he worked in the area of intelligence information. After leaving the Army he earned an Accounting degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Richie continued a career in accounting as a CFO for several different companies during the course of his career until his retirement in 2007. Richie met his wife Mary Ann in 1970 and the two were married August 8,1971. They resided in West Caldwell, NJ for 37 years.

In 2007 Richard was given the ultimate gift of life when he received a double lung transplant. This gift led to an additional 14 beautiful and blessed years of life. In 2009 he and Mary Ann, his wife of 50 years, relocated to Florida.

Richie had a passion for the NY Giants and creating spreadsheets. Both occupied his time equally. His generosity was felt by many as was his abundance of knowledge.

Richard is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Guatrone) Notar, his children Rick Notar, Lori Notar Savage, his son in law Mike Savage his grandchildren Michael and Richie Savage and nieces Francine Ramaglia, Deneen Hallonquist and Brianna Quatrone and his nephew Philip Quatrone. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Diane Ramaglia.
