Richard Nevin Trovinger Jr., of West Chapline Street, Sharpsburg, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011, at his home.
Born Jan. 6, 1943, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Richard Nevin Trovinger Sr. and Lena Marjorie Rohrer Trovinger.
He attended South Hagerstown High School, and served in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He retired from T.B. Woods Inc. in Chambersburg, Pa.
Richard was a member of Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, Sharpsburg; Hagerstown Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 89; Hagerstown Mason Lodge 217; and Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Blanche Wilson Trovinger, on March 22, 2011.
Richard is survived by two sons, Darren D. Trovinger and Quintin W. Trovinger, both of Sharpsburg; a granddaughter, Kayla L. Trovinger of Sharpsburg; a sister, Sandra F. Finfrock, and husband Fred, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and a brother, Dennis L. Trovinger, and wife, Cindy, of Hagerstown.
