Richard L. Cash of Plymouth died peacefully surrounded by his family on July 12th in his home, he was the beloved husband of Mary M. (Roncarati) Cash. Loving father of Barbara Cash-Ruprecht and her husband Richard of Plymouth, Richard M. Cash and his wife Lori of New Castle Maine and P. Michael Cash of Plymouth. He was the cherished grandfather of Bernadette Cash-Dann, Marguerite May Vantangoli, Gina Marie Vantangoli, Philip Michael Cash, Nicholas Robert Cash and Hannah Cash. Richard is also survived by 1 great grandchild, Austin Charles Dann, and many nieces and nephews. Richard was born in Plymouth of March 4, 1931, son of the late Maurice and Bernadette (Vitti) Cash. He was educated in the Plymouth Schools and was a graduate of Burdette College. Richard served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and played football in Germany and Austria. He was a member of the 1953 USFA Grid All Stars. Richard later went on to work for Verizon where he worked as a lineman until he retired in 1994. He enjoyed playing and coaching baseball and football. He was a cofounder of Plymouth Junior Football, expanding the four Plymouth town teams to compete regionally on the South Shore. He was a long-time member of the Cold Spring Club. Richard loved spending time in his garden and providing for family and friends. It also supplied him with healthy competition of “who had the best garden.
