Ricky was loved by all who knew him. He leaves behind a multitude of friends and family who remember him for his charming personality. He loved Southern Gospel music and spent his early years singing Lead in Gospel Quartets. Ricky was a huge Alabama Fan and was given his final wish when he was able to watch the first game of the season. After a year’s battle with cancer, he passed away Thursday evening while surrounded by his loved ones. Ricky cherished the memories of growing up with cousins, aunts and uncles in the Denson and Wooten families.
He is survived by daughter, Stacie Denson; grandson, Geight Wessel, Madison, AL ; mother and stepfather, Joan and Howard Case, Locust Grove, Ga; brother and sister-n-law, Randy and Annette Denson; nephew, Jacky Denson and niece, Miranda Denson, Hazel Green, Al; stepmother, Carol Richardson, San Diego, CA; Stepdaughter, Jessica Crutcher, Toney, AL ; stepbrother, Linvyl Case and wife, Michelle, McDonough, Ga; stepsister, Janette Cooley and husband, Scott, Scottsboro, AL.
He was preceded in death by father, Kenneth Denson; maternal grandparents, Rev. Willard and Virginia Wooten; paternal grandparents, Rev. Richard (Jack) and Josephine Denson
