He died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born Sept. 18, 1929, in South Bend, he was the son of Roland A. and Lillian Mabel LaDow Terry.

Mr. Terry attended Butler University on a pole vaulting scholarship, where he studied commercial art. He owned R.L. Terry & Associates, a professional bank auditing company. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Richard had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3790, American Legion Post #60, the Eagles, Elks and Moose Lodges.

He was an avid 500 race fan.

Surviving are three daughters, Lisa Terry, Nashville, Paula Albright and her husband, Jim, Bloomingdale, Ill., and Lori Beck and her husband, Stephen, Carmel; grandchildren, Adrianne Bowsher, Nashville, Zack Bowsher, Decatur, Ill., Aubrey Little and Sam Beck, both of Carmel, and Jimmy Albright, Bloomingdale, Ill.
