TESSIN, Richard L. Sr. of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Passed away February 7, 2012. He was born August 20, 1925 in Kalamazoo, the son of Lewis Charles and Florence Dena Bedford Tessin and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. Richard worked for several grocery stores, including Harding’s Markets, as a meat cutter and retired from the James River Company.
He also served his country in the United States Navy during WW II. Richard is survived by his children, Howard Lynn Tessin of Valdosta, GA, Daniel Karen Tessin of South Haven, LuAnne Marty Pierson of Battle Creek, Rich Tessin and Brenda of Scotts, Patrick Alexa Tessin of Vicksburg and Christopher Tessin; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
