Richard L. Schultz, Sr., age 92 of Fairfield, beloved husband of 65 years of Mary Irene (Kowalski) Schultz, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the CT Hospice, Branford following a short illness. Born in Lyndhurst, OH, the son of the late Louis and Helen Schultz, he had been a Fairfield resident for many years. He was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Panama Canal Zone operating a tug boat responsible for moving supplies critical to the War effort.
