Died Friday morning May 6, 2016. Richard was born September 16, 1936 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Merril and Iva (Hunt) Krohn. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with General Motors for over 27 years, retiring in 1993. He also worked at K.V.P. Paper Company years ago.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Leo VanAvery; 3 brothers, Kenneth, Donald, and Robert Krohn; and a sister, Marilyn Reynolds. On February 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Barbara A. (Terpening) Krohn who survives. Also surviving, 4 children, Michael (Emmy) Krohn of Indiana, Sheri Krohn (Bill Geyer) of San Antonio, TX, April (Warren) Titus of Peoria, AZ, and Jill (Hans) Korendyke of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Sharon) Krohn of Portage; 2 special companions, Nikki and Lili; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
