Richard L. Henry passed away December 1, 2016, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Richard was born April 20, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of James Kenneth Henry and June Marion Lay.
The family moved to Lawton, OK in 1957. Richard graduated from Lawton High School in 1962. He attended Cameron College and transferred to Oklahoma State Tech, where he received a certification in diesel mechanics, air conditioning and heating service. He moved to Dallas, TX to work for Texas Distributors.
Richard left Dallas in 1970 and moved back to Lawton, OK to work in the family business, Home Decor and Air Conditioning, Inc. He moved again in 1988 to Rio Rancho, NM to work with Intel.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his sister, Marilyn and her husband Dr. Michael Williams of Edmond, OK; his brother-in-law, William (Bill) Elsey of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Jane Borger and her husband Larry of Bisbee, AZ; sister-in-law, Joan Cipriano and her husband Harry of Prescott, AZ; brother-in-law, Edward Elsey and his wife Judy of Muskegon, MI; brother-in-law, Roger Elsey and wife Diane Darrington of Wimberly, TX; his aunt Camile and uncle Tom Benson of Tulsa, OK; aunt Bonnieray and uncle Adolph Pfeiffer of Darmstadt-Eberstadt, Germany, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
