Richard L. “Dick” Kinser, 81, passed away unexpectedly October 19, 2015 at Indiana University Hospital.
Dick was born November 29, 1933 in Smithville, IN. He was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Ezra and Lessie Kinser. He was a 1951 graduate of Smithville High School. Dick retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company, but stayed busy working part time for IU Concessions until his passing. He was a huge NASCAR Mark Martin Fan and loved IU Basketball. But the biggest joys in his life were his family, especially his 6 grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and Papaw. Dick was a member of the Bloomington Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Dick is survived by his loving wife Carol of Bloomington; son Mark L. (Janette) Kinser of Bloomington; daughter Kellie (Terry) Self of Spencer; grandchildren, Adrienne (Jason) Millet of Mooresville, Rachael Kinser of Bloomington, Steven Self, Haley (fiancé Salvador Mora) Self, Lauren Self, Emily Self of Spencer; brother Philip (Janet) Archer of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Irene Neal.
