He was born on January 23, 1943 in Daviess County, Indiana to Carl O. and Genevieve D. (McCarter) Davis. Richard was united in marriage to Barbara A. (Moulden) Davis on April 21, 1962 and they had two children.
Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Davis of Elnora; son, Kent (Tammy) Davis of Bruceville; daughter, Heather Davis of Elnora; two grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Brandi (David) Wright; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Kamber; sister, Betty Jo Davis of Odon.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
