Richard “Dick” Carrell, 78, passed away peacefully at home on February 26, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born August 2, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI to Lawrence and Audrey (Monpas) Carrell. He graduated from Mauston High School and married his high school sweetheart, Janet Wollmer. They enjoyed 60 years of adventure, traveling in their motorhome after retirement.

Dick worked in various positions, taking the knowledge he gained and applying it to life. He always had the fix for anything that broke. Dick belonged to the Operating Engineers Local 139 as a heavy equipment operator and Business Agent.

Dick loved working in his shop fixing old cars… and everything else. He enjoyed going to car shows and swap meets with his friends. He was a member of the Creepers car club. Dick enjoyed time spent with family and friends at “the 80”, which consisted of deer hunting, cutting wood and just shooting the breeze.

Dick is survived by his wife Janet, sons Greg and David and his wife Rhonda, grandsons Tyler and his wife Danielle, Chase and Dawson, great granddaughters Chloe and Madison. He is further survived by his siblings Yvonne Priessnitz and John and his wife Mary, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Kathy Wollmer and many nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law Ray and Nora Wollmer, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Cindy Carrell and brother-in-law Bill Priessnitz.

Dick held a very special place in every one of his family members hearts. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
