Richard Kravits, 94, of Atria in Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012, in Kirkland Village, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Viola (Brown) Kravits, who passed away in 2009. Born in Philadelphia, he was the last living child of Sam and Anna (Rensel) Kravitz. Richard was a graduate of Drexel University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He served as a research engineer at Bethlehem Steel for 30 years until retiring. Richard was a former District Commissioner for the Minsi Trail Council Boy Scouts of America. He was also a private pilot and enjoyed photography, motorcycling and roller skating. Survivors: Daughter, Linda Redding of Philadelphia; sons, Don Kravits and his wife Debbie of Los Angeles, CA, and Philip Kravits and his wife Karen of Haverhill, MA; 4 grandchildren, Blake and Alison Redding and Taylor and Jacob Kravits.
