Richard K. “Dick” Burke, age 87, of Plymouth, peacefully passed away on March 29, 2022. He was born on October 8, 1934 in Dorchester, to Elizabeth (Mahoney) and Mark F. Burke. Dick was married to Gail A. (Morrissey) of Braintree. They settled in Braintree and retired in Plymouth, at The Pinehills. They enjoyed sixty-four wonderful years of earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University. He worked for New England Telephone Company for forty-two years. After his retirement from the Company, for five years he worked as a consultant for Channell Commercial Corporation. Dick and his wife, Gail, spent winters at their home in Bonita Springs, FL, where he worked at Bonita Bay Country Club. Dick was an avid golfer and played often with his friends. He loved sports and was a big fan of all the Boston teams. He especially loved attending Red Sox Spring Training games in was the brother of the late Edward Burke of Weymouth. He is survived by his brothers, Walter and his wife Joan, and Paul and his wife Marlene. Dick was a loving father to Kathleen Carey of Pembroke, Kevin and Alejandra Burke of Fort Lauderdale, FL, David and Meg Burke of Edgartown, Joanne and James Hajjar of Hanover, and Richard and Stacy Burke of Rochester, MN. Richard loved to spend time with his 10 grandchildren: Evan Carey, Shannon Carey, Taylor Carey, Koury Hajjar and his wife Jessica, Sydney Hajjar, Dylan Burke, Dyana Burke, Valentina Burke, Victoria Burke and Ainsley family thanks the medical staff at Cranberry Hospice and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth.
