Richard “Jim” Yacobacci, 81, of Milford, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2014. He was born January 21, 1933 to the late Americo and Agnes Greenwood Yacobacci in Derby, CT. Jim served in the National Guard for 9 years. He was a past president of the Devon Lions Club and owned and operated the Chapel Shoe Repair in West Haven, CT for 17 years. He enjoyed camping, going to the casinos and above all he loved being with his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Joan Linsley Yacobacci for 60 years. In addition to his loving wife Joan he is survived by his devoted daughters and sons-in-law Carol and her husband Howard Allen of Westbrook, CT and Gail and her husband Marty Utitus of Milford, CT. His cherished grandchildren Richard Allen and his wife Erin, Brian Allen and his wife Lisa, Joanie LeMay and Kathleen LeMay, and his great grandchildren Richie, Joey and Andrew Allen, one niece and four nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather Francis Royce.
