WINSTED –Richard Jay Jackson, passed away on December 7, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Sheila (Olszanski) Jackson for 48 years. Born April 5, 1943 in Winsted; the son of the late Ernest and Marion (Beller) Jackson. He grew up in Winsted, was an avid reader and enjoyed old T.V. series. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Jay Jackson and wife Charize of CA; a daughter, Cheryl Petersen and husband Anthony of Torrington; a sister, Bernice Leone of ME; grandchildren, Albert Bottass, Tanesha, Teanna, Teja, Anthony, Jr., Talya, Tamia Petersen and Cedrich Jackson; great grandchildren, Aliesha and Analisa Bottass; his beloved cat, Misty; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ernest Jackson, Jr., and Earl Jackson.
