Richard J. Martinez of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on October 29, 2019, surrounded by his children: Andrew, Rita, Elizabeth and Anthony.
Richard served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Italy. That is where he met the love of his life, his beautiful wife, Rosaria.
They married and moved back to America.
They were devoted to their family, religion and the Broncos.
Richard’s career included serving as a Police Officer in Nevada, with the majority of his career dedicated to various positions with the Colorado Department of Corrections until he retired.
Richard was known for his devotion to his family, ever present mischievous smile and calming presence, sense of humor, quick wit, and his love for the outdoors. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend.
Richard is survived by his 4 children, 4 grandchildren (Ashley, TJ, Nicholas and Garrett), and 1 great grandson (Johnathan).
