Richard Howard Anderson, 80
Okeechobee – Richard Howard Anderson died November 1, 2021. He was born February 20, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York to Howard Martin Anderson and Ruth Ann (Holter) Anderson. He lived in New York until the 1980s when he had two children. He then moved to Florida where he had two more daughters. Over the years, he worked as a roofer and owned his own restaurant in Hobe Sound.
Those that knew him, knew he was a funny, caring, handsome man with the best hair. He had a love of all animals; but his biggest love was for his family – especially his grandbaby, Hailey.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Martin Anderson; and granddaughter, Jeanne Purvis.
He is survived by his son, Steven Anderson (Maureen), of Staten Island, New York; daughters, Susan Purvis (George), of Summerfield, Nicole Korpi (Ralph), of Okeechobee, and Jodi Pollock (Kevin), of Palm Beach Gardens; four grandchildren, Steven Anderson, Richie Anderson, George Purvis, and Hailey Korpi; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Albert Anderson (Ann), of Hudson.
