Richard Royce Holleman, age 65, passed away peacefully at a nursing home in San Antonio, Texas on Friday, February 11, 2022 after a long illness.
He was born November 16, 1956 in Belton, Texas. Parents are Dr. Vernon D. Holleman and Shirley Roberts Holleman. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Episcopal church in Belton. He attended Belton Schools and graduated in 1975. He was a member of the Marching 100 band that marched in the Tournament of Roses parade in 1974. He graduated from Central Texas College and attended The University of Texas at Austin.
He married Donna Kay Ratliff in Lometa, Texas May 14, 1977. They had 2 children, Richard R. Holleman and Christi Eyvonne Holleman both of New Braunfels.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; son, Richard; daughter Christi five grandsons, Triston, Ryan, and Noah Holleman, Justin and Levi Shelton, all of New Braunfels, granddaughter Rainie Shelton and one great granddaughter of New Mexico, his brothers Joel Holleman (Tina) of Artesia New Mexico and Vernon Douglas Holleman of Temple.
