Richard Henry Crawford, 61 of Walnut Hill, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.He was born July 15, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri, son of Dillon Gilbert Crawford and Gladys Mildred (Sanders) Crawford. He married Mary Ireland on October 11, 1975 and she survives.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three children: Angie Beppler and husband Stan of Walnut Hill, Richard H. Crawford, Jr. and wife Sonia of Carlyle, and Donna Crawford and fiancé Ted Lingo of Carlyle; twelve grandchildren: Ashlee, Micheal, Skylar, Luke, Travis, Adrianna, Cheyenne, McKenzie, MacKayla, Matthew, Ethan and Patience; five sisters: Irene Ogden of Kansas, Dorothy Willis of St. Peters, Missouri, Bonnie Crawford of Centralia, Lynn Morgan of Centralia, and Joni Pulliam and husband Mike of Centralia; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Kenneth Crawford, Dillon “Sonny” Crawford, and James Crawford, and a brother-in-law, Francios “Wayne” Willis.Richard served 22 years in the U.S. Army and retired as Sergeant First Class. He was very proud of serving his country and patriotic. He was a member of the VFW Post 2055. He worked at Banks Bowl in Junction City for 18 years. Richard enjoyed bowling and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, four legged companion, Beau, and friends.
