Richard Henley Brown, 85, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Bartow Regional Medical Center due to natural causes. Richard was born January 26, 1929, in East Point, Georgia to Louis & Elsie Brown. He was a retired Optician and owner of Brown’s Optical and had been a resident of Lakeland since 1961.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie H. Brown; sisters, Doris Kirby and Louise White and brother, Gene Brown.
He is survived by his son, Ronald G. Brown and wife, Connie; daughters, Donna L. Blue and husband, Daniel and Linda Brown Ross and husband, Bob; sisters, Helen Roberts, Merita Gross and Patricia Kennemore; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
