Richard H. Giesecke, Jr., 83 of Cocoa Beach, passed away on 6/5/16 at his home. He was born in 1933 in Enon Valley, PA. Richard enlisted in the Navy in 1950 right out of high school, and served on the carrier USS Bairoko in Korea. After serving in the Navy, Richard earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State and graduated in 1958. Upon graduating Richard married Gloria Vangor.
Richard worked for Vitro Corporation, which later became BAE Systems. He was the Senior Resident Rep at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station office, supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) submarine program.
He is survived by his wife Gloria, his son Curtis and his wife Sandra, son Douglas and his wife Susan, and 2 grandchildren.
