Richard E. Gill son of the late Don and Doris Gill. Born in Dayton, Ohio on September 22, 1935.
Moved to Richmond, Indiana as a young child and graduated from Richmond High School with the class of 1954. He married Maryln Wilson of Connersville, Indiana on June 9, 1957. He worked for Dietzens Baking Co. of Richmond, Indiana for several years before working for Penn Central Rail Road. He retired from Con Rail Railroad as a Conductor. He was a former Deacon and Trustee of the Frankton Christian Church and past president of the Frankton Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Carl and Belle Wilson of Connersville, Indiana and his wife Maryln Gill. He is survived by his daughter Rae Jean (Phillip) Powell of Anderson, IN. and his son Rick (Sandy) Gill of Hebron, KY. He is also survived by five much loved grandchildren. Christopher (Brea), Kylie and Nathan Powell and Emily and Sarah Gill. Also surviving are sisters JoAnne Waterston of Indianapolis and Sandy (Carl) Allen of Hagerstown, IN.
Additionally brother and sister in-law C.W. and Nancy Wilson of Connersville, IN. along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends who have made life such a joy.
