Richard Escher, 72, of Bayville, Berkeley Twp, NJ, passed away peacefully from injuries sustained in a car accident on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, NJ surrounded by his wife and friends. Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, he moved in Bayville in 1968.
Richard was a mechanic for Lester Glenn Buick in Toms River for 20 years. He later retired from Sears Tire Department after 10 years. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy (nee Cadmus), his sister Cathy Reynolds of Massachusetts, a niece Jessica, two nephews Justin and Joshua and many friends and neighbors.
