Richard Ernest King Winters, 75, of O’Fallon, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at home. He was born December 11, 1945, in Harrisburg, PA. Richard joined the Army and after his discharge became a steel worker for Laclede Steel. Richard loved raising his family and taking his daughter to sporting events.
He also enjoyed writing science fiction novels, painting, and horse racing. Richard will be missed by all those who loved him. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Summers McConnell and Ermma Jean Winters (nee Shannon), and his wife; Connie Winters.Richard is survived by his partner of 14 years; Carole D. Kenee of O’Fallon, IL, four children; Glenda (Steve) Bivens of Granite City, IL, Jennifer (Steve) St. Jean of Highland, IL, Tiffany (Janet Reed) Winters of St. Louis, MO, and Richard (Jessica) Winters of Granite City, IL, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
