Richard E. Orahood, Jr, born to Richard E. Sr. and Yvonne Orahood on March 21st, 1957, in Springfield, Ohio was gently loved into heaven by his devoted family on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.

Rick, along with his family, traveled extensively when he was a young lad, as his father was stationed around the world while in the Army.

Rick or “Tower” as he was lovingly nicknamed was a carpenter by trade, as an independent contractor. Examples of his exquisite work still stand tall across the Space Coast. Most recently he worked for the Freedom Forum Foundation in Washington, D.C. as an Estate Manager.

Rick was a proud member of the Space Coast Harley Owners Group, enjoying being the Head Road Caption for group rides for a number of years. He loved riding his Harley, listening to his extensive music collection with the feeling of flying like a bird. One thing Rick was known for was his gift of gab, telling the everlasting story that took his listener around the block and down the road to finally laughing his way to the joke at the end.

He was a friend, confidant, and Mr. Fixit to all.  Before all these, he was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle.  What he loved most was being a dedicated and proud Grampa to his five grandbabies, who were the stars in his eyes.

He is predeceased by his Father.  Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Mary Boyd Orahood, of Rockledge, his son Richard E. Orahood, III (Kesoon) of West Palm Beach, his daughter Amber L Fowler (Jason) of Merritt Island, his five grandchildren, twins Richie IV, and Zoey, Farah, Reese and Riley.  Also, his mother, Yvonne Orahood, and brother Gary Orahood both of Dale City, Va., and

Mark Orahood of North Carolina. Additionally, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
