Richard Edward Makowiec, age 42, passed peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2018. He attended Palm Bay High School graduating in 1994. He then received his Fire Certifications 1 & 2 from Mid Florida Technical School and his EMT from Brevard Community College. He was a member of the Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad (HCVAS). He was a Lieutenant with the Malabar Fire Department in which he was involved in for many years. Friends, Family and Community Members will always remember him as a loving husband, funny, kind, generous and a person who never came across a stranger as he was a friend to many. He is survived by his loving Wife, Gina Bell Makowiec, Father, Richard Makowiec Sr., Sister, Tammy (Chris) Leavitt, Brother, Shawn (Deb) Makowiec, Mother and Father In Law, Diane and Jerry Bell, Brother In Law, Robert (Jamie) Bell, Nephews CJ (Jessica) Makowiec, Joshua Leavitt, Andrew Bell, Nieces Marissa (Matt) Sheahan, Alexis Bell. He was pre-deceased by his Mother Linda Makowiec.
