Richard E. Johnson of Sumter, South Carolina and Plymouth died on December 22 at B.I.D. Medical Center in Boston. Beloved husband of Sandra A. (Hayward) Johnson. Born in Brockton November 22, 1942 son of the late William B. and Marie A. (Hannan) Johnson. He was educated in Brockton and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy from 1961 -1966. Dick worked in the Packaging Industry building and installing packaging machines for most of his working career. He was an instructor for the NRA and competed in many shooting competitions. He was a member of the American Legion Post #40 Plymouth, V.F.W. Post #1822 Plymouth, Unity Club, Old Colony Sportsman Club, and he also enjoyed camping.Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Richard Johnson Jr and his wife Cheranne of Plymouth, his daughters Robin Cabral and her husband Alan of Kingston, Tracy Manion and her partner Paul Boyle of Plymouth, and Jamie Blake and her husband Russ of Plymouth. Brother of David M Johnson of South Carolina, Joseph Johnson of Brockton and Janice Villeneuve of South Carolina, as well as the late William and James Johnson. Cherished grandfather of Adriana, Penelope, Aaron, Hope, Aidan, Grace, Hunter, Emma, Kallie, and Makenna. Great-grandfather of Collin, Aryana, Caden and Aella.
