HAVERHILL – Richard E. Driscoll, 84, longtime resident of Haverhill and Plaistow, NH, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, January 19, 2017.
Richard was born in Haverhill on August 25, 1932, loving son of F. Edward and Anna (Ray) Driscoll. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School Class of 1950, received his Bachelor’s Degree from the former Lowell State Teachers College and received his Law Degree from Suffolk University. His professional career included working as a 5th grade school teacher in Salem, NH, Probation Officer in the Haverhill District Court from 1958 through 1972 and served as Chief Probation Officer until beginning his private law practice, a license still held. He enjoyed teaching law for many years as an adjunct professor at both Northeastern University and Northern Essex Community College.
